At the end of a hard day, or a long holiday season, there’s little better than a soothing bubble bath. Technically, all that’s needed is a tub, hot water, and bubbles.
But to achieve a truly luxurious experience, try some of the following ideas.
1: Tea lights
Create a soft glow in your bathroom with flameless tea lights. The gentle haze will lull you into a sense of peace, and there’s no danger of setting the house on fire!
2: Reading material
Try reading something lighthearted while soaking your feet. A romance novel, a fashion magazine, even a crossword puzzle. All of these can help ease the tension in your muscles, as you float in steaming bubbles.
3: Soft music
Listening to music can stimulate creativity, and assist in vanquishing stress. My favorite piece of music for relaxation is “Valse Triste, Op. 44,” composed by Jean Sibelius.
4: Bouquets of flowers
Obviously if you have allergies, this probably isn’t the best idea for you. But, if like me, you enjoy gentle floral notes, pick up a fresh bouquet for the bathroom.
5: Don't forget your towel
Make sure you have a soft towel, robe, and slippers ready beside the bathtub. Once you’ve washed those worries away, keep yourself warm and relaxed with cozy textiles.
